It is recommended that you replace a nicked or bent guide rod or/and slide that has worn out. Take a close look at the finish of the bow. Make sure that the bow is free of glare and camouflaged well. You can apply a matte-camo tape if the surface of your bow glares. Gauge the limbs. Hunt for splits, cracks or any other imperfections and oddities. Make the necessary replacements.
